July 11, 1923 – January 25, 2022

VISITATION: Sunday, January 30th from 3pm to 5pm, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 5pm, all at the West Center Chapel.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, January 31st at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 102 S. 9th Street, Springfield, NE.  Interment: Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials will be directed by the family.

Mary Ann (Cich) Bryl, loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.  

Preceded in death by husband, Frank; mother, Sofia; father, John; 7 siblings; grandchildren: Charley Bacon, Jr., Steven Bacon, Lisa Ann Bryl, Nathan Bryl.  Survived by children: Patricia Whitehill (Dan), Ronald Bryl (Cheryl), Alice Bacon (Charley), Frank Bryl (Pat Joy), Mary Phalen (Rick), Larry Bryl (Roxanne), Robert Bryl, Vicki Fickel (Robert); grandchildren: Christopher Whitehill and Melissa  Strahle, Rhonda Schulte, Andrew and Matthew Bryl, Rachel Goodard, Jennifer Smith, Patrick, Nicholas, Samuel and Robert Fickel, III; great-grandchildren: Alaina Whitehill, Olivia Strahle, John Schulte, Drake, Elliana and Meyer Bryl, Dylan and Kodi Goddard, Linsay and Logan Smith, Alex and Emersyn Fickel, Harper and Rhys Fickel, Rob Fickel, Maria and Sherlyn Gallardo; great-great-grandchild: Colt Goddard.

Valued Kellogg employee of 36 years, Blessed Sacrament Lady Guild member and Eucharistic Minister.  Avid slot machine player, proud of her Polish heritage and lover of all things natural.  A little-known fact – her given birth name is Maria Magdelina Cich.

    To all family members, we were both so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing and even though it was more or less expected, it’s never easy to see them pass on even though they’re moving on to a better place. We’re sending our sincerest condolences and love to all. Frank and Becky
