Mary Ann Jordan

Mary Ann Jordan

May 9, 1937 – September 28, 2024

Mary was born on May 9th, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska to parents Agnes Cecilia and John Bunach.

Mary lived a full life and loved being with her family and friends.  She was very proud of her home that she built with her husband, Ron, in 1970 in Millard and it was always one of her very favorite places to be along with the B-I-N-G-O hall, the beauty salon and grocery and Target shopping!  She loved a good joke, and her laughter was a joy to hear.

She was a graduate of Omaha South High School (1955).  Mary’s first full-time job was at Stockyards National Bank in Omaha.  She worked there for nearly 10 years before moving to California briefly for 5 years.  After returning to Omaha, Mary focused on raising her three children; Joe, Cindy and Kathy and she was a homemaker.  Upon her husband’s early and unexpected death, Mary began working for Millard Public Schools as a cafeteria worker and custodian until her retirement in 2002 after 25 years of service for MPS.

Mary’s retirement chapter was filled with much joy as she was able to devote most of her time to her grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, Joshua, Reghan, Jamison & Emerson and her own children and extended family and friends.  Mary truly loved her home and family and was happiest spending time with all of them there.

Mary worked hard her whole life, always putting others’ needs before hers.  Taking care of her children and making sure they had what they needed were of utmost importance to her.  She was a living example of generosity and selflessness and was kind to all who knew her.

We love you Mom/Grandma and we will so miss your spirit among us!
