Survived by husband, Gary T. Lew; daughter, Christina M. Thornley (Justin); grandchildren, J.J. and Maddison; siblings: Holly Sage (Cliff), John Jamieson, and Kate Koestner (John).

Mary E. Lew passed away after a short illness on Friday November 18, 2022 at Lakeside Hospital. She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. Mary loved spending time with her family especially her 2 beautiful grandchildren. Mary graduated from Cathedral High School in Omaha in 1975. She married her husband of 38 years Gary in Reno, Nevada on June 14, 1984. In July 1985, they welcomed their only child Christina into the world. Mary worked at Mutual of Omaha for 27 years before quitting and then working at Woodmen of the World where she worked there from 2005 til 2019 before retiring. She enjoyed playing board games and cards with her grandkids and watching tv and listening to music.

Preceded in death by parents John Gregory Jamieson Jr. and Helen Irene Jamieson; brothers Tom Jamieson and Bill Jamieson. Survived by husband Gary Lew, daughter Christina (Justin) Thornley; grand-children J.J and Maddison (aka Maddie); Siblings Holly (Cliff) Sage, John Jamieson 3rd, and Kate (John) Koestner; sisters-in-laws Lois Jamieson, Diana Rodgers, Sue Lew, Nancy Gibson and brother-in-law Robert Lew; many nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and extended family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm at:

Faith Journey Church.

Any flowers ordered may be delivered to the church on Monday or Tuesday between 9:00am til 12:00 pm. If you have any questions, you may contact Pastor Chelsea Newton at 308-660-8302. Memorials may be directed to family or charity of choice.

    To Mary’s Family, I had the pleasure of working with Mary at Woodmenlife. She was always very pleasant and I always loved talking with her. She will be missed. My codolences to each of you!
