Kathy was beautiful inside and out! She was so loved in Long Island Village in Port Isabel, Texas. She took me under her wing and introduced me around when I first move to LIV. You will be so missed!

Prayers to you Nicole, i know how hard it is to lose both parents. I hope your mom is sharing old police stories with my dad and many other that went before her. I know how she would be so happy to be reunited with your dad. Summer Franco – daughter of Bob Sklenar (OPD).

This was a shock to me! I thought I had seen a few posts from Kathy, as we called her. I worked with her at the City of Omaha; I was civilian and she, a police sergeant. Kathy and I would walk to the Ethnic Sandwich Shop and get salads for lunch many times. She arranged for our Cancun trips. My sympathies to Nicole. Your mom will be missed by many of us!

Mary “Ma” Bruner was a sergeant when I was a young detective and I learned so much from talking with her and working around her. She was not my direct supervisor, but she always took the time to chat. We loved her stories at the many NAWP Christmas parties she attended and she was not above stealing the best ornament! My thoughts are with her many family members and friends.

My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with Kathy’s Family. I had chance meeting with Kathy in August, and we enjoyed “catching up”. She was a very special lady and highly respected in the Law Enforcement community. May she rest in peace with our God who loves her.

My sister Kathy was a very caring and loving person. In my option the work she did for the child protective service for the OPD qualifies her for saint hood. She will be missed by many. RIP Till we meet again.

Scott and Nicole (and your families). I am sorry for the loss of your beautiful, intelligent, funny, and kind-hearted mom.. Thank you to cousin Mary Ann for notifying me- I was not prepared for this sad news.
The last time I spoke with Kathy told me that she felt very content with her life, and that she missed Arne. She loved her family with all of her heart, Ana you were all her greatest joy.

I have always admired my cousin, and was so proud of her being a “trailblazer” as a detective and Sargent for Omaha Police Department. She put herself in danger to protect children.and dealt with people and circumstances most of us will never encounter. She possessed modesty and grace.
Gary, Shanley and I hold you in our hearts.
