March 11, 1969 – October 6, 2021

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 17th from 3pm to 5pm followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 5pm, all at West Center Chapel.  FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, October 18th at 10am at West Center Chapel.  Interment: St. John’s Cemetery.  Memorials will be directed by the family.

Mary L. Campbell-Bernal was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on March 11, 1969, and passed peacefully surrounded by her family on October 6, 2021. Mary was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Mary worked for the Omaha Public School District as a Nurse Paraprofessional for 20 years and was working part-time at Under Armour.

Mary had such a kind heart and a crazy personality. She could always make you laugh. Mary will be greatly missed and leaves so many memories of good times and laughs.

Preceded in death by grandparents, Charles Ybarra (Betty); mothers, Linda Bernal, Margaret Jackson; sister, Angelina Jackson; niece, Mei Anne. Survived by daughters: Nadia (Chad), Shalyn (Chelsee), Marissa; nine grandchildren; father, David Bernal, Sr.; sisters, Tina (Richard), Margaret (Ralph); brothers, David Jr, Mario (Jesse); many nieces and nephews.

    I just want to say Prayers to the Family and that Mary was a very Great woman in my Life Growing up and I will never forget all the birthdays and dinners and outings she always invited me to and all the times she came and picked me IP for elementary skate nights her home was my second home. Nadia Shae and Marrissa I pray for your strength and your hearts. Love your Dearest Big bro Jaron
