Mary was born on September 27, 1939, and passed away on October 20, 2023, at The Lighthouse Care Facility at Lakeside Village in Omaha.
Mary was born in Wisner, Nebraska, to Claude and Leone (Stangel) Phillips. She graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School in 1957. She married John Davis on August 16, 1958, in Norfolk, NE, and they were blessed with four children: Kristi, Susan, John and Jay.
Mary loved baking, cooking, and reading, but her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved hosting family get-togethers for holidays and football games.
Mary is survived by her husband of 65 years, John C Davis; children: Kristi Sladek (Barry), Susan Shupe and John W. Davis (Nancy); grandchildren: Danielle Winter (John), Amanda Sladek, Breanna Watson (Will), Taylor Davis (Jordan) and Katie Jones (Jacob); and great-grandchildren, Harper and Graycen Winter, and Ava Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Leone (Stangel) Phillips; son, Jay Davis; three brothers and four sisters.
