Mary Lou (Lavicky) Novacek
Age 82
Mary Lou was born on July 15, 1935 in Dwight, NE to John and Georgia Lavicky. She was an RN, graduating from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Chuck; three children: Dale Novacek (Lori), Kay Barmettler (Greg), and Alan Novacek; eight grandchildren: Beth (Novacek) Carr, Brian Novacek, Kimberly and Nicolle Barmettler, Taylor, Carly, Lauren and Will Novacek; one great-grandchild, June Carr; brother, John Lavicky (Dorothy); sister, Jean Coufal (Lee).
Mary Lou loved to travel, dance, golf, and play cards. She enjoyed the time she spent with her many friends. She was deeply devoted to her husband and family; for Mary Lou, “Family is forever.”
VISITATION begins Thursday, Nov 9th at 4pm at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL on Friday, Nov. 10th at 10:15am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14330 Eagle Run Dr. Interment on Monday, Nov. 13th at 1pm at Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested either to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, or may be directed to the family.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Mary Lou. She was a sweetheart and always had a smile on her face and love in her heart. She will be missed by many and we will miss seeing her and visiting with her on those special occasions in her hometown. Love and prayers to all!!! Rich and Jody Gans
So sorry for your loss. May the Lord give you strength end guidance through this difficult time. I will be out of town so unable to make the funeral, my apologies.
