McNeil, Mary Louise Collins November 28, 1934 ~ December 11, 2016 Born in Sayre PA and raised in South Waverly PA, a 1952 graduate of Sayre High School. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Marion (Layer) Collins, her brother Bill Collins and her sister Helen Drake, brothers-in-law Ed Ackerman, Harold Drake, Ed Horn, sister-in-law Jane Avery, and nephew Vincent Drake. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years James H. McNeil, her son Eric (Laurie) McNeil of Chapel Hill NC, her son Fr. Joel McNeil of Dunlap IA, and her daughter Amy (John) Iwanski of Geneva IL, their grandchildren Anna Iwanski, Sara Iwanski, Joel Iwanski, Colin McNeil, Trevor McNeil, Logan McNeil. Mary was a wonderful singer and in addition to singing in church choirs, sang with groups like the Omaha Choral Arts Society, the Offuttaires, the Bellevue Senior Singers, and the Grace University Community Choir. Mary was active in many capacities at St. Mary’s Parish in Bellevue, the Offutt AFB Officers Wives Club, and the Bellevue Women’s Club. Visitation will be at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel on Monday Dec. 19 from 5pm to 7pm, with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bellevue NE followed by a luncheon. She will be interred at the Omaha National Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the Bellevue Food Pantry.
