Mary Susan Good Mornin was born on October 8, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska to William and Eleanor Good. She was the second oldest of four siblings: Barbara (Wall), Kathy (Esch), and Larry. She graduated from St. Bernard Catholic School and Marian High School. While attending Creighton University she met Gerald Mornin. They were united in marriage in 1968 and while together they had three children: Julie, Robert, and Ann. Mary was also blessed with two grandchildren; Jordan and Kaleb Frink.
Mary’s children, grandchildren, and family were her top priority. But Mary found an outside passion through her work at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish and School. Her gift of caring and her love of Jesus was seen through every Sacrament she assisted with for the Religious Education and 5-Day Students. Her faith shined through every day at work. Mary loved the challenges of a hectic schedule at work. She was kind to everyone who came into her office. Mary always went above and beyond to help. She was always cheerful to the teachers, students, and staff.
Scripture teaches mothers to point children toward Christ by praying for them, modeling faith and character, and training them in wisdom (Prov 1:8, 29:15). Mary lived her entire life serving God and teaching her children and grandchildren to do the same. She was the most prominent figure in their lives who just kept giving without expecting anything in return. Her example of lifegiving service in the face of adversity is one to be not only cherished but admired.
Mary is preceded in death by parents, William and Eleanor Good; brother, William Good; sister, Barbara Wall; nephew, Travis Good. Survived by children: Julie Mornin, Robert Mornin, and Ann Mornin (Frink); two grandchildren; Jordan and Kaleb Frink; sister, Kathy Esch (Dennis); brother, Larry Good (Shirley); and many nieces and nephews.

Mary (my former sister-in-law) gave of herself to God, to her children, and to her grandchildren with unconditional love. I always used to tell her that she would have a “front row seat in heaven” one day, as she always put everyone else first. She will be missed.
Ann, Julie and Robert – we are so saddened by your loss. We loved Mary so much and know how incredible of a mother she was. We will keep you all in our prayers. Please let us know if you need anything.
