REQUIEM MASS: Tuesday February 25, 2025, 9:15 AM from West Center Chapel to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2708 S. 24th St., Omaha for 10:00AM Mass.
INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gerard Kelly; father, Peter Camiel Verdick; mother, Roselle Skalicky Verdick; sister, Elaine Shannon; Brother, Father Jerome Verdick and son-in-law, Jorge Cervantes. She is survived by her children and spouses: Laura Cervantes, Robert Kelly (Mendy), Kathleen Kelly-Cackin (Larry), Thomas Kelly, Paul Kelly (Mary), Camille Kelly, and Julia Gervasini (Chris); twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Leo Verdick and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Jackson, Minnesota, Mary Verdick attended grade school in Alpha, Minnesota and high school in Jackson. After graduation she attended the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After graduating from college, she moved to Omaha where she met her husband-to-be, Gerard Kelly, who was a resident in radiology at St. Joseph’s Hospital. After marriage, Mary worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a clinical instructor until her first baby was born. The family spent two years in the Army at Fort Benning and Fort Campbell. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, playing tennis and duplicate bridge.

She was one of my favorite people ever. Will be missed dearly. I loved her so much and will pray that she finds her way. I am so sorry for her loss to all the Kelly family.
No words can express how we feel at our Aunt Mary’s passing!
Besides being our favourite person, we really have fun memories of the many fun times we had growing up with her.
The last time I saw her in person was at dinner in Las Vegas at S W steakhouse with our family and Kate !! Rest in Peace Aunt Mary!!! You will forever be in our hearts and prayers!!!
