Maureen F. Titus

December 27, 1946 – May 20, 2024

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Casey and Irma Casey; second husband, Terry Titus; and sister, Lauren Casey; all of Omaha.

Maureen is survived by sons, John Quinn, III (June Oliver) of Austin, TX and Andrew (Caroline) Quinn of Taneytown, MD; daughter, Colleen (Kevin) McCoy of La Vista, NE; brother, Lawrence (Jan) Casey of Alfred, NY;  sister, Janice Foster of Omaha;  eight grandchildren: Mary Kate (Tyler) Herek of Omaha, Joseph McCoy of Denver, CO, Molly McCoy of Winside, NE, Meg McCoy, Emma McCoy and Clare McCoy of La Vista, NE, Maci (Isaac) Bingaman of Gettysburg, PA, and Makenzie (Cordell) Boggs of Gettysburg, PA; seven great- grandchildren, including a newborn great-granddaughter, born the day following her death.

Maureen was born in St. Louis. She spent her childhood in New Orleans and St. Louis before moving to Omaha, where she graduated from Holy Name High School in 1964. She resided in Maryland during her first marriage, after which she returned to Omaha, where she worked for many years for the City of Omaha in the Mayor’s office. She then took a job at Holy Name, as their Alumni Director and CCD coordinator. She taught herself how to play the guitar and enjoyed playing and singing at Mass during the late 80’s and 90’s. Maureen finished her career as an administrative assistant for Douglas County Corrections. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her friends from Corrections and many of her high school classmates from Holy Name, along with spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Olive.

VISITATION: Monday, May 27, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Mortuary, with a VIGIL SERVICE at 4:00 p.m.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, May 28, at 10:30 a.m., St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7600 S. 42nd St., Bellevue, NE Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery

Memorials are kindly suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society or Holy Name Catholic Church.

 

 

 

Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery.
