Max August Jordan
August 24, 1959 – October 17, 2024
Max August Jordan entered eternal rest on October 17, 2024. He was born on August 24, 1959, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Roscoe and Irene Jordan. Max entered the workforce as soon as he could and built a career in welding and cement work.
On July 14, 1990, Max married Teresa, and together they blended their families, bringing Tony and Jeff into their lives. Later, they welcomed two daughters, Lacey and Shayla. They settled in Gretna, Nebraska, where they raised their family.
Max was a man of many hobbies, even if he didn’t realize it! He loved music, camping, and taking pictures of wildlife. One thing he always talked about was his job at S&S Welding, no matter who he was with. He was extremely passionate about hunting and fishing and loved going out with family and friends, especially with his wife. When he started a family, he made sure to pass on these passions.
Max was an amazing and generous man, but most importantly, he was an incredible husband. Being a family man was important to him, and when he became a grandpa, he absolutely adored his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene (Salemka) Jordan and Roscoe Jordan; parents-in-law, Glennys (Killham) Bosak and Raymond Bosak; his brother, Roscoe Jordan; and his brother-in-law, Andy Bosak.
Max is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Teresa (Bosak) Jordan. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jeff Reigenborn (wife, Kristi), Tony Jordan (wife, Korina), Lacey Thornburg (husband, Trenton), and Shayla Jordan. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Kaylee, Nathan, Jayden, Natalie, Anthony, Maria, Jared, Wrenly, and Maevery. He is additionally survived by his siblings: Michael Jordan, Wanda Jordan, and Sherry Grubel (husband, Jeff); and brothers-in-law, Mark and Cliff Bosak, along with many nieces and nephews.
Max was diagnosed with esophageal cancer on August 19, 2024. On August 29, 2024, he was baptized by Father Maxwell Carson while in the hospital at the beginning of his battle. He found comfort in his daily readings during his final days. Max was determined to fight as hard as he could, spending his final months at home, cared for by his wife and daughter. He lost his battle with his wife by his side, and he then went to be with his Lord and Savior, where he could finally rest.
