JONES, Max C., age 68, of Omaha. Max was born in Villisca, Iowa on Jan 3, 1941 and departed this life in Omaha on Jul 23, 2009. Max graduated High School in Stanton, Iowa, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha where he played football. He received his Masters Degree from Creighton University in Omaha. Max’s business career included Armor Meat Packing, Northern Natural Gas and Northern Border Pipeline Company. His favorite pastime was hunting and fishing with his long-time friends. Max was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred (Sellergren) and father James M Jones. He is survived by his sons, Kenneth and Matthew; Ken’s wife, Amy and daughter Ashley, all from St. Petersburg, FL; sisters: Kerla Reichert and husband Charles of Dallas, TX, Janet Inks and husband Earl of Bellevue, NE; brother, Jerry and wife Joanne of Omaha; beloved mate, Mary Lou Hamilton of Omaha; 2 nephews, 2 aunts; many cousins and friends. A Celebration of Maxs life will be held at 6pm Thursday, Aug 6, 2009 with a reception to follow at Erin Court, 4714 North 120 St. Memorials are suggested to Methodist Hospital Foundation, F.B.O Sarcoma Patients, C/O Mary Lou Hamilton, 702 So 90 St., Omaha, NE 68114.
