I loved Mrs. Kono from when I first met her as a friend of Sofia’s back in the 1970’s. She was so kind to me when I stayed at their home & treated me like a daughter. She made the best rice pilaf on the planet. May God hold & keep her in the palm of His hand.
May our Lord bless and comfort you and your family during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences. May care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. My most sincere condolences.
Such fond memories of Mrs. Kono over the years. Her and the family always made us feel so welcomed when visiting. Mrs. Kono would dote over Carson, who was fussy as a toddler. She would use an Albanian expression for him, which meant “to cry from the heart”. Very kind.
In reading the obituary, it is easy to marvel at the courage her, Mr. Kono, and young Greg(if one can imagine:) made to the US to make a life for themselves. No doubt their strong Faith got them through many challenges that would arise through such a journey.
Her courage and Faith was rewarded in being surrounded by such a loving, good hearted family that attended to her needs over the years.
Our hearts hurt for the family, and we offer our deepest condolences on the passing of such a kind soul.
With love,
Luis Hernandez and family
