World War II veteran; ex-POW; recipient of Distinguished Flying Cross. Preceded in death by son, Deldon Hamann; parents, Harry and Emilie Hamann; sister, Verdene Miller. Survived by wife, Leta M. Hamann; daughter, Cynthia Burke (Joseph); grandson, Ian Burke; daughter-in-law, Jolene Dalton (Mickey) and their children, Andrew, Jolene and Kathleen; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 18th from 3pm to 5pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES on Monday, Feb. 19th at 1pm at the West Center Chapel. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park with military honors by Persia, Iowa American Legion Post 314. Memorials will be directed by the family.
