Omaha, NE. Michael A. Metzler went home to Jesus on Wednesday, May 27th at age 58. He was preceded in death by mother, Geraldine Metzler. A devoted husband, Mike is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cheri. A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by their three children, Drew Metzler (Stephanie), Brett Metzler, and Lauren Flair (Luke), and four grandchildren. Also survived by father, Alfred Metzler; brother, Jeffrey Metzler (Linda); sister, Gerri Kazmierczak; many other loving family and friends.
VISITATION following CDC guidelines: Tuesday, June 2, 2020, from 4pm-6pm at the West Center Chapel. PRIVATE Family Services and Interment on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Team Jack Foundation or Angels Among Us.

I was notified just this morning of Mike’s passing. Shocked. I’ve known Mike since junior high. He was always a great guy. Prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends, and everyone else associated with this loss of life. May the memories of his life stay fresh in the minds of all.
Shock and sadness describe my feelings about Mike’s passing. My sincere condolences to his family. Mike was always very proud of his family and grandchildren, talked very fondly of them at work. He will be missed.

Our Dad’s are best friends since childhood. They served together. Mike was like a cousin,, rest in Heaven.

Sending love and hugs from my wife and I. Mikes life was a testimony of faith an perseverance. Mike was a high school acquaintance and we graduated together from Millard South.
Very sorry of this loss. Prayers are with his family. Many memories with his family. We were neighbors all of our lives. Will miss seeing him over at his dads.

I’m saddening to say good-bye to my cousin Mike. I will always remember and cherish his kindness he showed me as a child; helping me hold a bat in baseball and letting me play with his toys. I will miss you.
