Michael A. “Mickey” DePetro

August 17, 1944 – June 24, 2018

Member of Sons of Italy; 1962 graduate of South High School; retired, Union Pacific Railroad. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph S. and Betty L. DePetro.  Survived by brother, Sam DePetro (Sandra); sister, Mary Jean Campbell (Monte); nieces, nephews and many friends who remain by his side today.  Also survived by loving companion, Liz Olsen.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:  Thursday, June 28th at 10am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 10th & William Streets.  Private Interment:  Resurrection Cemetery.

For memorials, the family prefers Masses or donations to Sons of Italy.

    My thoughts and prayers go out to Mary Jean & Monte, and the DePetro family, I used to talk to Mickey at the U P luncheons but have not seen him since they quit having them! I am certain he will be terribly missed…Don K

    I worked with Micky at Omaha shops for 10 years we had some good times over the years . I have some good memories of Micky . God Bless Him an may he Rest In Peace . I am sorry for Your families loss
