Michael Dwayne Dantzler was born on March 13, 1964, in Omaha, Nebraska to Eddie and Donna Dantzler. He was the second oldest of five siblings. Michael graduated from Burke High School in 1982. He made an impression as a hard worker who poured his heart and soul into the many positions he held over the years, including Manager at the Omaha Country Club for 15 years, Juvenile Court Aide, Service Coordinator, Banquet Captain Event Coordinator, and many others. Michael was known for his big heart and willingness to help others. He shared his time and talents with family and friends, often using his influence to secure them jobs for catering events.
Michael was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost June 16, 2013, under the leadership of Bishop Calvin J. Gould, Sr. He served as an usher, sang in the choir, was an active participant with the Men and Pastor’s Aide Ministries until his health began to suffer. During services, Michael loved to praise the Lord. Often you would see him standing while accompanying the music with his tambourine or running laps around the sanctuary giving God the glory.
Michael was fun to be around. He was the life of the party at family gatherings. We could always count on his entertainment to make us laugh and smile. His original music compositions made him a family legend. Michael’s interests included singing, cooking, decorating, and playing games. He loved to laugh and at times, he would laugh so hard, it would make you laugh harder. Before his health began to fail, his desire was to attend culinary school to become a pastry chef.
Michael transitioned from this life on February 7, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memory parents, Eddie and Donna Dantzler of Omaha, Nebraska; brothers: Edward Dantzler (Rita) of Omaha, Nebraska, Jerry Dantzler (Shannel) of Omaha, Nebraska, Nelson Dantzler (Denise) of Kansas City, Missouri and Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Donna Miner (Scott) of Omaha, Nebraska; nieces: Ashley Dantzler of Omaha, Nebraska, Mya Perry (Richard) of Stafford, Virginia, Denise Rew (Nick) of Kansas City, Missouri; nephews: Bryce Dantzler (Shonita) of Omaha, Nebraska, Scott II and Colt Miner of Omaha, Nebraska; special friend, Franklena Durham; host of uncles, aunts, cousins; many dear friends; the Greater Beth-el Temple family.

So many times I went to pray and encourage Michael but he encouraged me. Family John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” 2 “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” 3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
To Deacon and Dister Santzler and the entire family I extend my heart fekt sympathy at your loss.
We kbow the God of all comfort will hold you clise in the upcoming days.
Yours in Christ,
