Michael J. Harrahill
January 17, 1948 – August 10, 2020
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Harrahill; father-in-law, Frank Roth; and siblings: Jack Harrahill, Peggy (Steve) Halpin, Luetta O’Connell, and Doris (Don) Kidd-Woerner. He is survived by wife, Cathy Harrahill; sons, Paul (Sara, grandson Leo) Harrahill and John (Miranda, granddaughter Elenore) Harrahill; siblings, Pat (Patsy) Harrahill and Mary Sowers; sister-in-law, Carmen Harrahill; brother-in-law, Tom O’Connell; mother-in-law, Jean Roth; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Richard Roth, Sharon (Chris) Jenks, Bob Roth, Dianne Roth, David (Teri) Roth, Cece (Dave) Sweet, Mike (Jill) Roth, and John (Nikki) Roth; and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was the youngest of John and Mary Harrahill’s seven children. He grew up in the O’Connor parish in Greeley County, NE. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War era and worked as a mechanic for Metro Area Transit for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW Club, and Omaha Retail Meat Dealers Club. He was also a very active member in his church, Our Lady of Lourdes. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved having a good time!
VISITATION following CDC guidelines: Thursday, August 13th from 5pm to 7pm, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (2110 S. 32nd Ave.) followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, August 14th, 10am, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. INTERMENT: Resurrection Cemetery with military honors. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Lourdes Capital Campaign.
