Michael “Mike” Staack, 65, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska. His final days were spent with his family at his side as he ended his fight with cancer with strength and dignity.
He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 10, 1959. Mike was raised in Manley, Nebraska with his six siblings. He attended Manley School until the 8th grade and graduated from Weeping Water Hight School, Class of 1979.
Mike loved his dogs, music, watching football, going to the horse races.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “Bud” & Mary Ann Staack; brother Ed Staack; grandparents; several uncles and aunts.
He is survived by his life partner, Marie Curro; siblings: Joseph (Karen) Staack, Daniel Staack (Deborah Heffernan), Barb (Kyle) Finke, Linda (Jay) Twomey, Brenda (Bruce) Lawson; nephews: Brent (Lindsay) Staack, Jackson Twomey and Garrett Finke; nieces: Brittany (Joel) Wiley, Megan (Matt) Wollum, Bailey Lawson, Taylor (TJ) Loudner, Brianna Lawson, Jenna and Jamison Twomey; seven grand-nephews and nieces.
Memorial Service: Wednesday, September 18th, 10:30AM at West Center Chapel with visitation starting at 9:30AM.
