JOHNSONMichael, R., age 59 years, passed away peacefully, 9/13/05, after a 22+ month battle with pancreatic cancer. His zeal for life and passion to be a survivor made him an inspiration to everyone. Survivedby his loving wife of 39 years: Annette (Vigliaturo); proud father of sons: Joel and Christopher and daughter-in-law, Julie. Better known as “Bumpa” to the lights of his life, grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Spencer, Sam, Seth, Ben and Maria. Michael graduated from UMKC with BA and Masters degrees and was within a few hours of receiving his PhD in Educational Administration. He coached and taught in Kansas City at DeLaSalle High School and Shawnee Mission East HS. After leaving teaching, he worked for several Fortune 500 corporations and most recently retired as Vice President of Corporate Data Quality for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. He loved to scuba dive and realized a dream just 6 weeks ago to have a 3 generation dive with his sons and grandchildren.
