June 22, 1933 – August 21, 2022
Michael J. Lynch, age 89, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022, after a courageous fight with Alzheimer’s disease. Mike was preceded in death by his beautiful and loving wife of over 50 years, Carol (Healey); brothers: Phil, Jim, Dan; sisters, Betty Camenzind & Rosemary Bilek. Mike is survived by his children: Michael (Cathy), Patrick, Cathy Sinnott (Sean), Sean (Mary K); fifteen grandchildren: Michael Lynch, Erin Rowland (Cullen), Connor, Caitlin, Kristen, Ryan, Joseph, Katherine, Sean, Sarah, Claire, James and Grace Lynch, Jack & Sheamus Sinnott; brother, John Lynch; many awesome nieces & nephews.
Mike was a master storyteller with a genius sense of humor, which he shared during recaps of his adventures on Woolworth Ave and his time in the U.S. Army, proudly serving in Europe. The best stories centered around Mike’s career as a master plumber that spanned 40+ years covering most of the Omaha area where his ingenuity, integrity, skill, laugh, and friendliness was shared with his many loyal customers. Together Mike & Carol loved life and openly shared their joy of everyday experiences with friends & family. Mike’s talent to subtly blend humor with his blue-collar work ethic, while serving others, lives on in those fortunate enough to have shared in his life. The family greatly appreciates the compassion, love, humor and dignity the many health care workers and fellow residents at Crowell Memorial Home and other facilities shared with Mike.
