Michael N. Barker
February 3, 1943 – April 9, 2023
Michael was born on a Hopi Indian Reservation in Flagstaff, Arizona. He graduated from high school in Granite City, IL. He was proud to achieve Eagle Scout status through the scouting program. Mike met Terry in Omaha and they were married on June 18, 1988.
He worked as a meat cutter for Safeway grocery stores, in the insurance industry, and finally was a co-owner of Carlisle Roofing. He had many hobbies including: painting, reading, golfing, boating, and dog rescue. He was a history buff who loved traveling on his Harley-Davidson and Corvette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Mabel; brothers, Claire and Don. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Terry; son, Michael; grandchildren, Jacob, Katie; brother-in-law, Kyle (Amy) Anderson. nieces and nephews
VISITATION: Saturday, April 15th, 3pm, followed by a Time of Sharing at 4pm, at West Center Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to Little White Dog Rescue.

Sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Mike was always a delight to talk to at LWDR functions, loved is sense of humor, devotion and compassion for the rescues. I only wish I could have had another chance to visit with him since it’s been months since I have send him. Thought and many prayers to Terry and the rest of his family.
