January 22, 1948 – March 10, 2022

Retired after a long and successful marketing career with Union Pacific Railroad.

Preceded in death by wife, Sharon A. Massara.  Survived by son, Christopher M. Massara (Coco); brothers, Victor Massara (Ann), Robert Massara (Kitty).

VISITATION: Friday, March 18th from 5pm to 7pm, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm, all at the West Center Chapel.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, March 19th at 12 noon at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86th Street.  Interment: Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.

    My condolences to the Massara family. I worked with Mike at UP and always found him to be a kind and gentle man. I had run into him in his wife at St Cecilia’s Cathedral and we would always exchange greetings. May he Rest In Peace.

    I worked with Mike at Union Pacific for several years. A very good man and a joy to be with. His smile would warm the office. May he Rest In Peace. My condolences to the entire family.

    Our words cannot fully express the sorrow we feel after learning about the passing of your beloved Father Michael. We enjoyed meeting Michael and we could tell that he was very proud of his family and heritage.
    May you ever treasure the wonderful times you had with him and our prayers are with your whole family.
    Michael was a delightful man and we are sure that he is with the Lord.
    May the comfort of God help you through this difficult time.
