Michael Thomas Leick, Sr.

October 14, 1955 – August 30, 2021

Michael Thomas Leick, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, surrounded by his loved ones.  He was 65 and had spent 13 weeks fighting to recover from Covid-19 complications.

Mike was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his  children: Tom and Jessica Leick, Tony Leick and Vicki Fuller, Erin Leick, Kelsey and Michael Fields, Amber Leick and Colin Downing; grandchildren: Logan, Lexa, Anson, Lily, Charlotte; and his dear friend, Anita Petersen.

WAKE SERVICE: Thursday, September 2nd at 7pm at West Center Chapel with family receiving friends from 5-7pm.   MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, September 3rd at 10:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Humphrey, NE, 203 S. 5th Street.

Masks are required for all attendees, without exception.

The family requests no peace lilies.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Humphrey, NE.

He and the family request the unvaccinated receive their shots in his memory.

    I’m so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a source of comfort to many of us who had lost a spouse through death or divorce. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May your memories and his love sustain you during this difficult time.

    Kelsey, Anita and the entire Leick family, our sincerest condolences on the loss of Mike. He was a very special person. His last selfless act, imploring people to get vaccines, was truly a hero’s mission. May the peace and comfort of our Lord be with you at this difficult time.

    Mike will be missed at St Pius X. He was a good deacon and a nice person to all.
