DORT, Michele M. Nov 29, 1950 Jun 2, 2014 Age 63, of Omaha; died peacefully at Papillion Manor. She was born in Mapleton, Iowa. She is survived by her parents, Ralph and Lavonne Martin; sisters, Susie Green and Vicki Martin; daughter, Kelly Whitbeck (Russell, Jr.); son, Bryan Dort (Rachel); grandchildren: Gabbie Henderson, Cameron Fritton, Rylee Dort, Jakeb Whitbeck (Teresa), Shelby Whitbeck, and Haley Whitbeck; 2 great-grandchildren, Lily and Makina; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Michele was a very passionate and committed teacher who always made her students and fellow staff members her second family. She had a kind, gentle, loving, courageous and strong spirit and was a great joy to all of the lives she touched. We love her deeply, and she will be missed greatly. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 4th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Thursday, June 5th at 10:30am at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 7706 S. 96 St., LaVista, NE. Private Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery in Mapleton, Iowa. Memorials will be directed by the family.
