Michelle Ann “Micki” McDole

Michelle Ann “Micki” McDole

March 21, 1960  – December 14, 2022

Michelle McDole, 62, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2022.

Michelle (Micki) was born on March 21, 1960, in Omaha, NE, to Herbert and Norma Jean (Erpelding) McDole.  Michelle attended Omaha Public Schools, graduating from Benson High School in 1978.  Micki had several jobs in her lifetime and retired from the USPS after nearly 30 years of service due to health issues.

Micki was passionate about animals and animal welfare.  She enjoyed each one of her fur babies, her beloved boxers.  Micki is best remembered as a woman who was strong in her convictions.  Everyone who knew her recognized her as a kind and generous soul.  Micki will be missed greatly by those she left behind.  We are comforted that she is now free from suffering and is at peace.

Micki is survived by her brother, Kevin DeHart; aunts, Connie Frazier and Dolores DeBiak; many cousins and a host of devoted friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Norma Jean McDole; stepfather, Ronald DeHart; and grandparents, Carl and Irene McDole and Al and Maxine Erpelding.

Many thanks to the special people at Josie Harper Hospice House for their compassionate care.

A celebration of Micki’s life is planned for late Spring 2023 for all her friends and family to attend.

Any donations in Micki’s memory may be made to Northern Plains Boxer Rescue or Nebraska Humane Society – Omaha.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to all of you who loved Micki, as I have. She was my friend of over 40 years and I cannot say how much she meant to me and how much I miss her already. I was blessed to have her in my life. My deepest sympathy to Micki’s family, some of whom I have had the privilege to know and grow so fond of. Kevin, Connie, Gaylene, Cindy and Dee – my heart breaks for you and with you. May God comfort you and give you peace.
My love to all of you,
    Louise

So very sorry to hear that Micki is no longer with us. She was a neat person who loved her animals. I remember house/dog sitting for her. She will be greatly missed.

I’m so sad that Micki wasn’t able to enjoy a long healthy happy retirement here . She was one of the kindest people I’ve met. Her compassion and kindness to animals was inspiring. Micki was a great friend to so many . Lifting her family and friends up in prayers. A difficult time of year to lose someone. We love you Micki. I pray others will follow in your example of being so kind and helpful to all loving creations.
