Michelle Hearn

Michelle Hearn

October 30, 1971- March 11, 2025

Michelle Marie Hearn was born in Omaha, October 30, 1971, and died in Omaha on March 11, 2025, at the age of 53.

She is survived by her four daughters: Allisa, Ashley, Amber, and Abigail; her mother, Katie; her brother, Michael; her grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Michelle was born and lived as a free spirit. She was an incredibly sweet and caring child (when she wasn’t tormenting her little brother, Michael or one of her cousins). At an early age, she found a passion for writing and reading, especially diving into the spooky world of Stephen King. She had taken some college courses at Metro and some beauty school; her hair style and color changed like a chameleon. Michelle always loved animals, even after having to get rounds of rabies shots from a dog bite when she was little. She would not hesitate to nurse wildlife back to health or take in any stray she came across. She developed her taste for travel from the many exciting vacations she took with her family throughout the years. This wanderlust carried into her young adult life, as she found it difficult to stay in one place and often just went where the wind took her. She made countless friends and lasting memories on her journeys-a testament to how beautiful, magnetic, and intriguing of a person she was. Anyone who knew her knows that her sense of humor, while dark at times, was unmatched. When she had her children, it was always Michelle and her girls. She loved dressing them up in matching outfits and cutting their hair the same way when they were little. She was so proud to watch her children grow up to be kind and loving women. She imparted so many good qualities onto her daughters, intellect, compassion, creativity, and tenacity. After Michelle had multiple surgeries on her knee, her travels slowed but she was still able to find an escape through films- especially horror movies, only growing her intrigue for the strange and unusual. In the more recent years, she was able to continue to express her creativity through crafts, reading, and writing. She was able to find joy and comfort in her family and pets. Michelle was not without faults- she had faced many hardships and personal struggles in her life. Her family and friends can take solace in knowing that in the time of her passing, she was doing well for herself. She lived in an apartment that she loved. She was cooking, reading, crafting, and making friends with her neighbors. She was genuinely happy- and while our hearts break that she didn’t have more time to continue to see her life grow, we take comfort that there was light at the end.

Her kindness, compassion, her sense of humor, and her beautiful soul will be missed forever but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local animal shelter or an Autism foundation. Thank you.

We are so saddened by this news. We will always remember how she , Lisa & Vanessa laughed and sometimes fought with each other! There was a sweet level of tenderness in Michelle that was very endearing. Praying for supernatural comfort as you all grieve.
