Mildred “Dolly” Clark

Clark, Mildred “Dolly” Weber Nov 27, 1911 – Mar 27, 2009 Passed away in Lakeland, FL. Born in rural Missouri near Brayton to David and Edith Read Weaver. Except for a short time in Missouri, she lived her early years in Cass County, IA. She attended Anita High School and taught in rural schools before marrying Vernon Weber of Cumberland. In 1942, she joined the war effort by gaining employment at Martin Bomber Plant at Bellevue, NE. After the war, she worked for Omaha Public Power District before starting Bellevue’s first pre-school. Upon retirement she moved to Lakeland, FL where she lived until her death. Mildred’s great loves were dancing and flower gardening. She is survived by her son Robert Weber and his wife Kathleen, TX; granddaughter Michelle Hamilton, CA; grandson Blaine and his wife Laura, NE; great-grandchildren Kyle (Hamilton), Carly, Paige, Rachel and Max (Weber). She is also survived by brother Howard Weaver, CA; sisters Elizabeth DeVore NE, and Betty Holland, CO; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Vernon; brothers Harold, Virgil, Theodore and Forest; sisters Virginia, Helen, Wilma and Ruby. Mildred requested no memorials or flowers. Graveside services Wednesday, 11am at Bellevue Cemetery.
