CIKOTA-Mildred M., prominent South Omaha business woman who owned and operated Yechout Paint and Wallpaper Company in South Omaha for over 40 years, died Tuesday, 7/17/07 of ovarian cancer. In work, she delighted in creative home decorating and was a featured home decorating and problem solving columnist in the South Omaha Sun newspaper. At home she lovingly explored traditional culinary delectables, traveling with family, and always made sure colorful flowers were close by. Her family devotion, community commitment and passion for people and life rewarded everyone in her presence an enthusiastic smile. She is survived by her children: John, Jr., La Rain, and Leon; her grandchildren, Gabriela and Madelyn; her sister, Mary Jane CreMeens of Omaha; several nieces and nephews.
