MILLER, Sally Anne

Sally Anne Miller July 29, 1926 – Sep 21, 2015 Sally Anne Miller passed away at home on September 21, 2015 at age 89 of natural causes. She was born on July 29, 1926 in Leeper, Pennsylvania to John and Anne Brigham. She was the oldest of four children: Jean (Robert) Kritzer of Kettering, Ohio, Mary (Stewart) Stanley of Ormond Beach, Florida and John (Elizabeth) Brigham of Vineland, New Jersey. Their family was raised in Oil City, Pennsylvania. In 1947 Sally graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercyhurst College, now Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, with majors in chemistry and biology. Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Arthur Raymond Miller (1926-1997) who retired as the Heartland Division Director and Chapter Manager of the Douglas Sarpy County American Red Cross. Their children are: Anne (David) Driver of Portland, Texas, Peter (Tok Kum) Miller, Eve (Alex) Luna, Sara Miller, Steven Miller, Mary (Steve) Rife of Omaha and Amy (Dennis) Nelson of Owasso, Oklahoma; she is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sally retired after many years of teaching science, including several years at St. Thomas More. She was a member of Mary Our Queen Catholic Church. She was loved by all who knew her. Her friends were friends for life. She raised her children in the Catholic faith and lived her life in testament to her beliefs. She was always kind with never an unkind word of anyone. She was a wonderful mother and will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 24th, from 5pm to 7pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm, all at the West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Friday, September 25th at 11:00am at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.
