Millicent M. “Milli” Scheer

Oct 21, 1955 – May 29, 2017

Surrounded by her loving family, Milli M. Scheer passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017, after a 3-year battle with pancreatic cancer.  Milli was born on October 21, 1955. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rick Scheer; mother, Mary Mesic; sister, Stephanie Paladino; brothers-in-law, Vic Scheer (Kennetha) and Rod Scheer (Virginia Berry); mother-in-law, Cleora Fletcher. Milli will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Mesic, and sister, Yvonne Curry.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 2nd from 5pm to 7pm, followed by SERVICES at 7pm at the Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd.  Memorials are suggested to Nebraska Humane Society or Methodist Home Health Care and Hospice.

Milli retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 2014 as Senior Manager Industrial Development. She was a founding member of their LEAD women’s organization and was particularly interested in mentoring and community involvement.

Milli was a fun-loving gal who enjoyed family gatherings, golf, Scheer family fishing trips, tubing down the Niobrara, vacations with girlfriends, and attending baseball games with Rick.

She leaves behind her beloved cats, Tony and Kimmie.

    Rick, I am so sorry to hear that Millie passed. Your mom always kept me informed on how she was doing with her health battle. I only found out when I looked up your mom. I will keep you in my prayers.
