KERWIN, Monsignor Eugene H. Born Apr 14, 1926 in Carroll, IA; died Jun 23, 2009, in Omaha. Member, Knights of the Holy Sepulchre; 4th Degree member, Knights of Columbus Council #10108, Fr. Michael D. Dowling Assembly. Preceded in death by parents, John E. Sr. and Kathryn (Donahue) Kerwin; sister, Kathryn Elizabeth “Betty” Kerwin; brother and sister-in-law, John E. Jr. and Margaret (Gurnett) Kerwin; several siblings who died in infancy. He is survived by sister, Mary Alice Day of Richmond, VA; nephew, John M. Kerwin and wife Elena; cousins: Mary Louise Wiley, Mary Agnes Morrissey, Kathleen Ogle and husband Lee, all of Omaha; many cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the country. VISITATION begins Sunday, 3pm, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with WAKE SERVICE at 7pm, followed by overnight vigil at the church. VISITATION resumes Monday, 10am, St. Cecilia Cathedral with MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11:15am at the Cathedral. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Msgr. Eugene H. Kerwin Endowment Fund c/o St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
