Dear Family, I was a caregiver for Steve and Jackie Pondelis for a number of years. Nan was an exceptional woman, so caring, so kind. I admired her! It was an honor to know her. May God give you comfort and peace.

Our family, the Finns, lived across the street from Nan and John while growing up. They were important to us – and felt like an aunt and uncle. In recent years, we have enjoyed being in touch with Nan, often seeing her at St. Robert’s for Mass. She was a lovely woman, and a great example of faith and positivity. She will be missed. Our family is so sad that all of us are unable to attend her funeral. Those of us normally in Omaha are out of town, arriving back to late to attend. Please know that Nan, and all of you, are in our thoughts and prayers. We will attend a Mass together on Dec. 30th that will be offered for Nan to honor her memory and importance to our family.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Nan was so nice and I loved to hear about her travels. Nan and my mom Peggy O’Connor Johnston are cousins. I would drive my mom to meet with Nan, Sr. Eileen Marie and Jack O’Connor for lunches. One time at Gorat’s steak house the host said seating for six by mistake and Sr. Eileen Marie jumped right in and said yes a seat for Jesus. Heaven gained an angel. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
