SKETCH, Nancy A., Sep 10, 1930 Jun 19, 2011. Nancy was born in Council Bluffs, the daughter of a nationally renowned florist. She graduated from Iowa State University where she majored in Home Economics and subsequently became the Home Service Director for Metropolitan Utilities of Omaha. After her children were raised, she dedicated much of her time to charitable endeavors that included the Emergency Pregnancy Service and the Family Life Ministry of the Omaha Archdiocese where she was largely responsible for the publication of Rainbows For All Gods Children. Her work with Catholic Charities earned her The Archbishops Distinguished Service Award. She spent a great deal of time promoting and coordinating Eucharistic Adoration and establishing Perpetual Adoration at Christ the King parish. She was a member of the Mission Advancement Council of The Institutes of Priestly Formation and was a Lady Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Geraldine Wilcox and sister, Martha Walsh. Survived by husband, Michael H. Sketch Sr., M.D. and their children: Michael Jr., M.D and wife Beth, Peter and wife Lyn, Sarah Pattison and husband Charlie, Christopher and wife Jill, Martin and wife Cindy; 13 grandchildren; brother, John Wilcox; twin brother, Hughes Wilcox and wife Margaret; 15 nieces and nephews; 15 grandnieces and grandnephews. VIGIL SERVICE Wednesday, 7pm, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Thursday, 10am, St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 2pm-3pm at the West Center Chapel and after 6:30pm at St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
