Nancy Davidson went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9, 2024, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair, Nebraska.  Her pride and joy, her son Jamie Davidson, was with her at the time of her passing after a long illness.

She was born Nancy Lee Cook on December 9, 1940, in Alliance, Nebraska, to Emma (Dahmer) Cook and Leonard Cook.  Nancy was the seventh of eight daughters.  They grew up in a loving home.  They didn’t always have everything, but they learned the importance of hard work.

Nancy serviced the United States of America as a nurse in the Army for three years, and was very proud of her service.  She went on to a long career as a nurse, most recently working in Omaha for the V.A. and Douglas County.  Nancy loved her family and would drop anything to help anyone she could.  She married Jim Davidson on June 22, 1973, in Riverside, California.  They had one child, Jamie Davidson.  Nancy was an incredible caregiver and loving mother to Jamie.  She was also a caring sister, aunt, and great aunt.  For years Nancy lived down the street from her sister, Betty Koppit, whom she also got to spend time with at Crowell Memorial home in her final year of life.  Nancy had a great sense of humor and was easily able to put a smile on your face.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents, Emma and Leonard Cook; sisters: Arlene Scanlan, Mary Sue “Susie” Smith, Helen Ridgeway, Margaret Phillips, and Joyce Bergfield.  She is survived by her son, Jamie Davidson of Blair, Nebraska; sisters, Betty Koppit of Blair and Wanda (Glen) Pennington of Orlando, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.

My thoughts and prayers go to your family as I loved taking care of and having a simple conversation with Nancy while she was at Crowell. She always put smiles on peoples faces and showed she cared for those who took care of her, I will miss Nancy dearly. Sending all my love -Heather
