You have my sympathies at the loss of Mr. Everitt. He was quite a guy. He also lead quite a family. I am fortunate to have gotten to spend time with many of his children. Each of you is just as strong, independent and powerful of a personality as your father. Well done to you. And well done to your parents for helping each of you become the wonderful, striking personality that you are. Love you all.

So many memories of your family come to mind – dining at the Dodge Street location of the Dundee Dell, seeing some of you at Regency Lodge, and being with you at gatherings in Okoboji. Keep the music in your hearts. Will be thinking of all of you in the days ahead.

I was Neill’s night manager at the Dundee Dell from 1975 to 1978. During that tenure, I married and began a family of my own..
Neill Everitt was an absolutely incredible mentor and
was an irreplaceable influence on my early adult life.

Long departed from the Omaha bar scene, I trek back every June to see family and catch a little of the College World Series.

This year I made it a point to contact Neill and spent a delightful couple of hours with Neill and Mary Ann, catching up and reminiscing old times.

Many of us have known individuals throughout our lifetimes who impact our lives in profound and positive ways. Neill Everitt and his influence on my life was the very epitome of this phenomenon. I will always remember him.

I had the pleasure of working for Neill at the Dell. ( 1987-1989) He was one of the best people I have ever met. He was kind, caring and compassionate. He has touched many lives and truly made a difference in mine.
I am so very sorry for your loss, and know that I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincerest condolences to the Everitt family for their loss. Neill was one of the kindest people I ever knew. Worked with him at the Douglas County Attorney’s office. He was the epitome of a gentleman. Always upbeat, kind, and supportive. He served as an example of how we should treat each other. The greatest gift he gave me was the honor of his friendship. The world is a lesser place but he left quite the legacy. He will be missed.
