Marjorie Alice Newquist January 9, 1930 May 6, 2015 Marjorie Alice Newquist, a resident of Omaha, passed away on May 6, 2015. She was born on January 9, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Helen Newquist; brother, Dr. Richard E. Newquist; and niece, Melissa Ann Newquist. Marjorie grew up in Red Oak, Iowa. She moved to Omaha and worked in accounting for JC Penney for 36 years until she retired. In earlier years, she was an active member in PEO-American Business Women, the Womens Christian Fellowship and several other church groups and Scandinavian clubs. Marjorie loved to travel and was very proud of her Swedish heritage. She is survived by her sister in-law, E. Louise Newquist of Napa, CA; nephew, David Newquist (wife Moira) of Albuquerque, NM; niece, Rebecca Trumbly (husband Steve) of Sacramento, CA; grandniece, Lark Trumbly; and grandnephews, Samuel and Timothy Trumbly. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 9am at Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak, Iowa, officiated by Pastor Fred Pilecki. A MEMORIAL SERVICE celebrating her life will be held July 18th at 3pm at Living Faith United Methodist Church in Omaha, officiated by Pastor Sandy Webster with a reception to follow. Anyone able to attend is welcome. Marjories family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses Association and her many caring friends for their loving care and support, especially Rose Brown (husband Tom) for her years of friendship and assistance.
