Jerry G. Osterday Oct 4, 1938 Jan 13, 2015 Age 76, of Omaha, NE, died Tuesday, January 13th at his home. Jerry was born on October 4, 1938 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota to Herbert and Harriet Marie Osterday. He was a 1957 graduate of Castlewood, South Dakota High School. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Goldhorn on June 20, 1959. They resided in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Norfolk, Nebraska until moving to Grand Island in 1969. Jerry worked in the insurance business with Bankers Life and State Farm until moving to Kearney in 1977 when he purchased Business Professional Credit Management. He married Ina Bauer in 1978. They also briefly lived at Johnson Lake before moving to Omaha in 1993. In Omaha, Jerry was employed by Laidlaw and MAT before retiring in 2008. He enjoyed spending time at many lakes, hunting, fishing trips and cherished family gatherings. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Julie Riese and husband John of Kearney; Jan Jablonski and husband Mike of Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren: Blake Jablonski of Elko, MN, Kylee Jablonski of Richfield, MN, Abby Riese of Omaha, and Riley Riese of Kearney. He is also survived by brother, Richard Osterday of Lake Havasu, CA, and companion, Susan Potter of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother and sister; brothers, Robert and Herbert; sister, Dorothy Page; and wife, Ina Osterday. Private services will be held.
