Pamela Joan Gorat Kenney
September 9, 1959 – January 28, 2022
Pamela Joan Gorat Kenney of Omaha passed away on Friday, January, 28, 2022, at the age of 62. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Pal and Shirley Gorat; her brother Mark Gorat; and her sister Debi Branecki. Survived by her husband Bernie Kenney; and her sons Colton and Zachary Kenney.
Pam was born on September 9, 1959 to Shirley Rae and Louis “Pal” Gorat. The third and youngest child, she would often recount stories of her amazing childhood to her children, from playing every day with all the kids in the neighborhood, to making lifelong friends at Christ the King and Westside High School. She’d spend almost every day with her grandmother “Nani” and grandfather “Popo”, whom she loved very dearly as well.
She met the love of her life in Bernie Kenney and was blessed with two boys, Colton and Zachary. The most devoted and passionate mother you could ever know, she filled each and every day of their lives with constant reminders of how loved they were and how proud she was of the men they’ve become. She was never short on jokes, songs, and wisdom. Her personality was infectious and even through battling health problems and any obstacle in her path she was a pillar of strength, humor, bravery, intelligence, and conviction. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed, because there are no words to describe how much she was loved. In Pam’s own words, which she said to her children every night before bed, “I love you all the world, and even more, kisses up to the sky, and hugs down low.”

Deepest sympathy to you, Bernie, Colton and Zach. It’s so hard to imagine your family without Pam. My thoughts are with you.
Dear Bernie and sons: You are all in our prayers. May God wrap his arms around you all as your sweet mother and wife have. We are all better to have met and to have known sweet beautiful Pam.
