PANTANO, Anthony R., M.D.

Anthony R. Pantano, M.D. Aug 29, 1921 – Mar 26, 2016 Graduated from Creighton University 1942 and Creighton College of Medicine 1945. Preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Rosario Pantano; sisters, Mary and Antoinette; brother, Louis; granddaughter, Erin Lynn Davis; and grandson, Eric J. Einerson. Survived by wife of 68 years, Arlene; daughter, Marilou DiPrima (James); son, Ross Pantano (Michele); daughters: Jeri Lynn Davis (Neal, MD) and Karyl Einerson (William, DDS), all of Omaha, and Jann Stathos (Theodore, MD) of Centennial, CO; 34 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; many relatives. Dr. Pantano was an Army veteran who served as a medical surgeon at the V.A. Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. He practiced medicine and surgery in Omaha for fifty years. He will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends Friday, April 1st, from 5pm to 7pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm, all at Christ the King Catholic Church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Saturday, April 2nd at 9:30am, Christ the King Church. Entombment, Resurrection Mausoleum.     I have so many great memories of working with and spending time with Dr. Pantano! What a great man! My dad and I had the pleasure of taking him, his son, and grandson goose hunting. On the trip, his grandson got his first Canadian goose! What a great memory to be able to share with him.
