ROSS, Patricia Catherine, Jan 25, 1924 Apr 6, 2010, of Frankenmuth, MI; died at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, MI. Patricia was born in Plattsmouth, NE, the daughter of Edward and Catherine McAvoy. She married Gerald C. Ross on July 17, 1945 at Holy Cross Parish in Omaha. She was a member of Mary Our Queen Catholic Church where she also taught second and fourth grades until her retirement. She was also an active member of the Catholic Daughters where she once held the position of Regent for the Court Mary Queen of Peace #2423. She and her husband Gerald loved to play the card game of Bridge and were involved in numerous clubs and groups. She also enjoyed making ceramics, floral arrangements and traveling with her husband to visit family and friends. Following the death of her husband in June of 2005, and experiencing serious health problems, Patricia moved to Frankenmuth, MI in 2006 to be near one of her children. Surviving are four children: Gary and wife Linda Ross of Otisville, MI, Gregory Ross of Las Vegas, NV, Terrance and wife JoEllyn Ross of Franktown, CO, and Timothy and wife Heidi Ross of St. Albans, MO; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; close friends Barbara Ross of Denver, CO and Sandra Ross of Omaha. Prior to her death, Patricia requested that a special thank you for your kindness be extended to: Mary C. Marshall, M.D.; Larry and Dorothy Segroves, D.O.; Mark W. Mattingly, M.D.; Rabbi Salimi, M.D.; and Fred Schreiber, D.O. In addition the family would also like to thank Laverne McCombs and her caring staff at Genesys Hospice as well as the ER and floor nursing staff at Genesys Regional Medical Center. VISITATION from 3pm on Friday at the West Center Chapel, with CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS ROSARY at 3pm and VIGIL SERVICE at 5pm. SERVICES Saturday, 8:30am, West Center Chapel to Mary Our Queen Catholic Church for MASS at 9am. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Mercy High School or College of St. Mary, both in Omaha, or Genesys Hospice of Goodrich, MI.
