Patricia Jean Neville (née Ring), age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 24, 2021.

She was born in Underwood, Iowa, on April 19, 1934, to William and Hilda (Stadler) Ring.  After graduating from St. Francis High School in 1953, Patricia worked for the loan department at First National Bank – which is where she met her husband, William F. Neville.  They were married on October 12, 1957.  She eventually transitioned to a job with the Douglas County Clerk’s office until her retirement.

She had a passion for cooking and baking; she was famously known throughout the neighborhood for her sugar cookies.  When the weather was nice enough, you could find her tending to her garden.  Her grandchildren will also fondly remember her amateur stunt driving in her mid-90s Dodge Caravan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia is preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila (Leahy); son, Steven; brother, Jim; sisters, Madlyn and Helen (Tamisiea); sister-in-law, Rosemary.

Patricia is survived by son-in-law, Terry Leahy (Sheila); grandchildren: Chris Schaffart (Tanya), AJ Davison (Hannah), Frank Neville (Amanda), Megan Neville (Cordero), Scott Neville (Olivia); great-grandchildren: Asher, Cason, Sid, Ren, Mac, Miles, Graham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the UNO Mavericks Sheila Leahy Toys for Tots Drive.
