Patricia J. “PJ” Jackson

Patricia J. “PJ” Jackson

July 23, 1936 – March 16, 2025

Patricia “P.J.” Jackson, born on July 23, 1936, to Joseph and Cecilia Dudzinski, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories. The youngest of three daughters, Patricia grew up alongside her sisters, Dolores and Mary Ann, in a home filled with faith and family. A devout Catholic, she found great comfort in prayer and took special joy in saying the rosary.

PJ attended South High School, and soon after, she married. PJ raised five children: Sharon (Kate), Tom, Jackie, Tim, and Kathy. Her children were the center of her world, and she dedicated herself to providing them with unwavering love and support.

Throughout her life, Patricia worked as an accountant, a career she enjoyed immensely, not just for the work but for the friendships she built along the way. Her love for people kept her working until the age of 78—retiring only reluctantly because she so valued the daily interactions with her colleagues.

Beyond work and family, Patricia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for gardening, loved the warmth of the sun during the spring and summer, and was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to football. March Madness was one of her favorite times of the year, and she would surely be lamenting missing this season’s tournament. She loved her time volunteering at Project Harmony and the many friendships made there.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kate; parents, Joseph and Cecilia; sisters, Dolores and Mary Ann. She is survived by her children: Tom (Connie), Jackie, Tim (Patti), and Kathy (Brad). Her legacy lives on through her 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her spirit, strength, and love.

Patricia’s family was her greatest treasure, and her presence will be deeply missed. Though her physical presence is gone, she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones, and once again able to see and hear clearly. Her love, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to shine through those who knew and loved her.

Rest in peace, Peej. Your love will remain in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that

donations be made in her honor to Project Harmony, Creighton Prep or Creighton University.

I worked with Pat for many years at CCC/Altium. She was the kindest, warm hearted person and I’m blessed to have known her. My condolences on her passing.

    Jackiie, Tom, Tim, and Kathy,

I am sorry to hear this. The loss of our parents is an awful experience, but just think how much happiness your Mom brought into all the lives she has touched. She definitely did that for me. Your Mom and your family will forever be embedded and have a special place in my heart..

I have lost one of my best friends. Pat was. our Maid of Honor in our wedding and then my husband and I stood up in her wedding one week later. Pat and Jack were also God Parents to one of our twins. We stayed in touch since high school and I just talked to her last week and I could tell then that things were not good. Good bye my friend and God Bless You. Love you always. Mary Ann

Lived across the street from PJ for many, many years. She watched not only me grow up, but my children as well. We always enjoyed chatting with her and the warm hugs. She always gave me GREAT motherly advice for myself and my kiddos. Always was supportive of my being a single mom, encouraging and praising me. She was an amazing cheerleader! She will be greatly missed by me and my family, she was our grandmother across the street, a safe person for my children to go to for help and a wonderful woman to confide in. Love you PJ. ❤️ Sara, Ben & Lilly

My sincerest condolences to Tom, Tim, Jackie, Kathy, and the entire Jackson family. I was very saddened to hear of the loss of your mother. Sometimes in life you are lucky to be acquainted with a truly wonderful person, and PJ was one of those people. She was always very kind and welcoming, and always treated me like I was one of her own. Although it has been many years since we have seen each other, I will always have fond memories of PJ and your entire family, and our time together. Be heartened that she is in heaven and that one day you will all see her again. Love you all.
