She was a teacher who inspired me through high school and my entire life. I often thought of her because she cared. I might have left school if not for her helping me. I had a good life because she guided me in the right direction. Class of 1974 Benson High School.

    Jim,
I so fondly remember working at St. Joes Hospital with you. So long ago, but so many happy memories. You and your family are in my prayers at this tough time.

Jim, Working with you at the VA was the best of all my years there. Pat was always gracious and thoughtful whenever we met. I’ll pray that God helps you and your family celebrate her life as the days pass and comforts your aching hearts at this very trying time. Bless you all! Jeanne

I will be eternally thankful for the friendship, expertise and great advice from Jim and Pat when I was a young medical student and resident. You both did so much for so many! I wish the Phalen family happy memories and comfort until we meet again in the Hereafter. Linda Head
