Patricia Marie (Brady) O’Kane
July 26, 1933 – May 27, 2019
Patricia Marie (Brady) O’Kane passed away on May 27, 2019. Born on July 26, 1933 to Thomas and Marie Brady, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick O’Kane; her son, Michael O’Kane; and sister, Judy Roberts. She is survived by her children: Mary O’Kane (Joseph Graif), Daniel O’Kane, Julie Warner (James Warner), Corinne O’Kane (Scott Fleischman), Ellen Rowe, and Mark O’Kane (Joy O’Kane); sister, Elizabeth Wild; brother, Thomas Brady (Robin); brother-in-law, James Roberts; and our very special friend, Dr. James Huerter and his wonderful family. Patricia had nine grandchildren: Sarah, Matthew, Rebecca (Dan) John (Alison), Ricky (Melissa), Madeline, Lily, Thomas, Julia, and Jack; and ten great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a loving mother, our matriarch and guide through life’s journey. She found joy every day in her garden, reading, dinner with family and friends and attending daily Mass. Patricia devoted her life to our Mike who was paralyzed at 17 and lived 39 years with her love. They are together again.
Patricia taught CCD at Holy Cross Catholic Church for more than 35 years. She loved and remembered every child she taught and was thrilled to teach the children of her children!
We will miss her more than we can express, but we find peace knowing she is with her Savior, Jesus Christ.
To the people of Holy Cross: you were her family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31st at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 4810 Woolworth Ave., from 3pm to 5pm and from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7:30pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL celebrating her life will be at 10:30am on Saturday, June 1st at Holy Cross Church. Family Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials will be directed by the family.

So sorry to hear about Patsy. My mother, Helen Krause, shared news. I’m a second cousin on the Brady side. My thoughts and prayers go out to friends and family. You all have a friend in Denver. Peace.
Our deepest condolences to your entire family. I’m sure Pat is celebrating with our parents

Dear O’Kanes, what endless and warm memories I (and definitely all the Hawk kids) will always have of your beautiful and sweet Mom. The sound of her laugh comes to me so easily. All these years she has still opened her arms to us like the kids we were., We’ve been grateful and comforted by her always reliable presence during times of our family’s joys and losses. She’s unforgettable.
