He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Regina; sister, Mikie Loughridge.

Pat was born on November 10, 1944, to Patrick and Regina Bowman in Los Angeles, California.  After graduating from high school in Topeka, KS, Pat attended Creighton University, graduating from its Medical School in 1970. In the same year, he married Mimi Longo.  Patrick entered the U.S. Navy in 1967 and served a year in Vietnam.  Following his military service, Pat and his young family lived in Rochester, MN for four years while completing his residency at the Mayo Clinic before returning home to Omaha. Pat built a career as a prominent Omaha orthopedic surgeon and, with Mimi, lovingly raised their four children. Pat will be remembered as a passionate Creighton fan who loved spending time with his family, especially his eight grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mimi; children, Patrick (Karin), Brian (Elizabeth), Beth Hantman (Aaron), Tim (Kendra); grandchildren, Ella, Christian, Mark, Harrison, Hazel, Charlotte, Henry and Bennett; brother, John (Barbara); sister, Peggy Lease (Guy).

Family will receive friends Thursday, October 19th from 4:30PM-6:30PM at Christ The King Catholic Church with a Wake Service at 6:30PM.

Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, October 20th, 10:00AM at Christ The King Catholic Church

Interment: Resurrection

Memorials are suggested to Creighton University-ILAC Programs, Creighton Prep or The Institute for Priestly Formation.

    I can hear Pat’s larger than life laugh as I type this message through tears. Mimi, Pat, Brian, Beth + Tim – I’m so very grateful to have known and spent so many special times with Pat.     Pat’s passing is not just a loss to his family but also to the entire community. He was and will remain an inspiration to me. Pat was my mentor and friend, I dearly miss him already. My condolences to the Bowman family.
