Patty J. “Pat” King, age 97

September 1, 1927 – July 25, 2025

Passed away peacefully at Crown Pointe Assisted Living in Omaha. She was born on September 1, 1927, to Hugh and Marion Moorman in Fairfax, Missouri. Pat was the sixth of seven children in her family. She grew up in Mound City, Missouri, which she held dear to her heart throughout her life.

Pat graduated from Mound City High School in 1945, then moved to Omaha, Ne where she lived with her sister and brother-in-law and worked for Northwestern Bell Co. During that time, she met her beloved husband, Bob King. They were married in October 1947 and made their home in Omaha. They had two children, Jim and Carol. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend to many.

Pat enjoyed gardening, reading, travel and volunteer work. She volunteered at her church, the American Cancer Society and her local elementary school. Pat received a lifetime award from Westgate Elementary School for her 12 years as a volunteer, serving students by creating a lifelong love of reading.

Pat was a charter member of West Hills Church. She loved her church and church family and enjoyed being an active member throughout her life.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, parents, six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Jim King (Carol), daughter, Carol Sacoman (Jim), grandchildren, Chad King (Bret), Todd King (Joanne), Laura Votava (Casey), Drew Sacoman (Shannon), and eight great- grandchildren.

Memorial Service: Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:00am at West Hills Church, 3015 South 82nd Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Heartland Food Bank or West Hills Church.

    I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to all members of the family on your loss of Patty. Pat really made a big and positive difference in our world throughout her life. Pat is now making a big difference in Heaven. May God continue to bless Pat and all of you!!
