Pauline Ruth Marchese

February 8, 1934-October 22, 2023

Pauline R. Jensen Marchese was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on February 8, 1934. She attended Beals Elementary School and graduated from Tech High School. Pauline met her loving husband, Alfred (Fred) Marchese, as a sophomore in high school at Tech High. They married in 1951, and were married for 70 years, until his death in 2022. She lived briefly in Georgia while Fred served  in the US Army from 1951-1953, during the Korean War. Upon returning to Omaha, Pauline was a devoted mother, who never had a cross word for any one. Besides being with her family, Pauline enjoyed reading, bowling, golf and crafts. Pauline adored her grandchildren and she was the backbone of the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred: daughters, Susan Smith and Nancy Parks; grandson, Todd Smith; and sister, Jean (Bill) Long. Pauline is survived by son-in-law, David (Tamara) Smith; daughter, Paula (Jim) McLaughlin; son-in-law, Dave (Teri) Parks; son, John Marchese; daughter, Geri (Joe) McMahon; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Adeline Marchese; and several nieces and nephews.
