The spaghetti & meatballs and linguine & clams are cooking again. After being apart for 15 years, Frankie and Phyllis are back together. As much as we miss the restaurant, we do and will really miss them.
Mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother to a bunch of kids she adored, Phyllis is survived by sons, Frank Jr. (Dolores) and Domnic (Cathy); grandchildren: Heather Sandoval (Ben), D J, Catrina, and Marc (Kelly).  great-grandkids: Enrique, Cristian, and Azaleah Franco, Drake Costanzo, A J and Aubree Sandoval, and Evie Costanzo; brother, Charles Hallgren; and many, many nieces and nephews.

Everyone knew Phyllis as the owner, cook, boss, and chief protector of Frank Sr., and the lady who would give you the shirt off her back and to whom everyone was family. But you didn’t ever want to get her mad. Mentioning that will probably get her mad.
She was as much as an icon at Frankie and Phyl’s as was Frankie. Her food was just as legendary as her personality.  To her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids, she was just Mom and Grandma.

Aunt Phyl was the last matriarch of our family 😞. I pray her and the rest that went before her are dancing away, and making the food our kids will know nothing about. Love you Aunt Phyl

I would be there every Tuesday. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.
Both of them ran their business perfectly. It was a joy to get to be a part of their lives.
My condolences to the family. I
